Care is provided by a team of compassionate and experienced senior caregivers. We work with receivers of care to ensure their safety, reduce loneliness, and to encourage their participation in life.

Iman Abdelaziz & Mohamed Hassan, Franchise Owners

After caring for and living with their elderly grandparents, Iman Abdelaziz and Mohamed Hassan of Playa Del Rey have launched a business hiring seniors to help other seniors continue living independently in their own homes. The pair recently opened a Seniors Helping Seniors franchise serving the Los Angeles area in the Westside communities of West Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Topanga, Malibu, Venice, Brentwood and the surrounding areas.

“Our goal for the franchise is to help the seniors in our community age in place and with dignity,” Hassan said. “We aspire to offer our caregivers and receivers of care a life-enriching experience and help them maintain their independence.”

Abdelaziz, a child educator, and Hassan, an information technology manager, both assisted in caring for their aging grandparents. Hassan has supported his parents through a variety of aging related challenges, while Abdelaziz has experience volunteering in senior assisted-living facilities. As a result of their past experiences and passion for helping other, the couple has decided to adopt the mission of helping local seniors age in place.

“We came to realize how important it is for seniors to have the option to stay in their homes comfortably,” Abdelaziz said.

Although there are similar businesses providing non-medical assistance to senior citizens, Hassan said the Seniors Helping Seniors organization is unique because it provides an opportunity to make a contribution to society by bringing senior citizens together to help them become less isolated and more independent.

“We feel that seniors deserve so much more from society than they are receiving,” Hassan said. “We owe it to seniors to provide them with a comfortable life after having served society for so long.”

The non-medical services the franchise offers include a variety of senior home care services such as Companionship, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, Post-Hospitalization Care, Respite Care for family caregivers, Personal Care, Transportation, Mobility Assistance, Meal Preparation, Light Housekeeping and many more!
